Aleksandra Krogulecka

Aleksandra Krogulecka was born in 1995 in Krosno, but has spent most of her life in Krakow (Poland), where she now follows her passion for painting and creative work. In 2021 she graduated with a Master’s degree in Art & Design (specializing in product design with Dr. Dagmara Latala). She is also a graduate of the Józef Kluza High School of Fine Arts in Krakow (2015). She has twice received the Scholarship of the Minister of Science and Higher Education and four times the Rector’s Scholarship for the best students of the KEN UP in Cracow.

She has been involved in art from an early age, thanks in part to her grandmother, who was involved in icon writing. She creates within the painting field, mainly using oil paints. She loves to experiment with colors, mainly warm, vibrant tones. She believes that: „There are no ugly colors, and it all depends on how we match them together.” Inspiration for her paintings, are mainly landscapes related to the Mediterranean.

Currently, the artist is developing three series of artworks. One of them is: Widoki launched in 2021 and which is a colorful response to the anxiety about the restrictions that have affected us in recent years.

The second is called City of Gardens (the latest series officially launched in Sept.2022) refers to the need to commune with nature, especially in cities.

The third is called: Bohomazaki , is the oldest series, launched in late 2015 and early 2016.

In the previous years I realized projects from the borderline of product design and graphic design. Together with Weronika Dziepak I have created projects for cultural institutions, e.g. for the MOCAK Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow, the W.
